In 2014, we opened La Urbana—the first dedicated mezcal bar in Atlanta. Rooted in bold flavors, modern design, and cultural pride, La Urbana was more than a restaurant—it was a declaration. Set in the city’s Westside, it quickly became a home for agave lovers and earned a spot on Atlanta Magazine’s list of the 50 Best Bars. Like many ventures, it wasn't perfect—but every step, every mistake taught us something that made us stronger. In this industry, we learn by doing, we grow by falling, and we keep going because—let’s face it—restaurant people are some of the most hard-headed, passionate folks you'll ever meet. Though La Urbana eventually closed its doors, it opened countless others. This page is our tribute—to the lessons, the people, and the spirit that sparked it all.
